Do you need a professionally recorded demo? What about some new and creative lyrics? At only 20 years old, Ive created my own unique style of music and creative process when it comes to writing. I love what I do and enjoy ever minute of it. Im constantly improving and challenging myself by listening to different genres and finding new ways to be creative. Working with other artist is something I enjoy doing the most because it gives me a chance to step outside of myself and put my ear in their lap. Interview with Brian Kelly

  1. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  2. A: Yes! Qbical Music Productions. He came through for me at the last minute and mixed and mastered my track "Where Did The Night Go"!

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: I would have to say Analog. Though the constant drive of technology gives someone like myself new and fun ways to be creative, Im always going to have the basics which for me is my piano.

  5. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  6. A: I am extremely proud of my first EP "INTRODUCING" because it came from a very true and authentic space. I wrote and produced the entire thing so I can honestly call it my own.

  7. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  8. A: Im working on my full length album, my own music app, and more!

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: My promise is to deliver truthful, professional, and creative content.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: what I like most is having the opportunity to do something I love and it not feel like I'm working at all. I also love meeting, creating, and learning from others.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: How do you get your vocal so clear is what I get asked the most. I attended ministry school where they teach you how to enunciate correctly and I also have vocal lessons. With that training bind to my singing ability and gave me a clear vocal take. There are hundreds aways other than my experience to get e great vocal.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: The biggest misconception about me is I dont have the talent or the resources needed to create professional content, just because I haven't had my big break or have 10 plus doing this,

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: No questions, I just ask they you communicate consistently!

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Alot of people who have wanted to work with me were not prepared. You have to willing to open up about what you want and are looking for and you also have to be ready to work.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: A grand piano, a notebook, Beyonce, a pen, and(or) a pencil,

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: Singing and Songwriter has always been my career path and always is. I started writing at the age of 10 and creating music at the age of 13 and haven't stopped since. Im just grateful I still get do share with world.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: There is no true way to describe my style because it carries different elements and catches the mood of the moment. But if someone was to put a label on it, they would push it into Pop.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Rihanna. She has a very speacial voice. Ive written tons of songs with her in mind.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: If you think it sucks, start over.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I usually work on Pop, Alternative, and R&B/Soul

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: My strongest skill is having the ability to change the mood of a song. I may write lyrics that are sad but the production can be fun, light, and feel uplifting. Tricking the ear is something I enjoy doing.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I bring clarity, vocal dynamic, fresh melodies, and truthful lyrics to a song. Regardless if its about love or tragedy, I want to make sure my listeners or anyone I work with feel like theyre experiencing something new and true.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: Ive never been told to sit down and write a song. Although I'm sure I could do that, It wouldnt be as authentic. I like to really take a conversation, or and idea and explore the depths of it. I write down questions, words, and make record of it in my phone so that I can come back to it. That could as little as 30 minutes or up to 3 days.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: When Im home, I have my piano. mic, and labtop all in reach. I often record at Next Generation Studios.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I often reference Herbie Hancock when it comes piano being the first instrument I ever learned how to play. His music taught me technique although I was already playing by ear. I think thats why I have an infinity for all types of music and artist because that is what creates your own individual sound. A mesh of other sounds and creatives.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I haven't worked with many artist or extended my skills musically to anyone besides myself. I have faith that SoundBetter will allow me to do just that. Im ready for the challenge.
