Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception is that we do this to get money. Truthfully, we do this because we want to be able to live a life doing what we love...and that is making great music.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: We ask the client two main questions to start off: What's the motivation behind this song or album? What is your view of success for this song or album when it is finished?
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: We're very invested in creating a positive relationship with our clients so we try to be very personable and efficient in our process. We discuss with the client the vision and motivation of the project so we can connect with it to the level the client is connected to it. Once that happens we go to work with the musical ideas and usually within a week or less we have a good idea to present and build upon if more is needed.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: We do a lot of work in our project studio, but we also have good relationships with some of Atlanta's known studios so if we need to do some heavier production we use one of the studios, mainly Patchwerk Studios.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: A lot of producers inspire us like Rodney Jerkins, Warryn Campbell, Kanye West, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Quincy Jones and the list could go on and on.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Music production for artists who have partially or fully written songs. Mixing for songs already tracked. We also make beats for artists and instrumentals for video. Occasionally we help write songs too.
