I was Sarah’s classmate in Berklee and she was one the most versatile music writers we had in the genres of Jazz, disco and funk.
Also, she was one the very few who had a comprehensive understanding and capability to improvise and perform complex vocals harmonies/ melodies.
Super easy and fun to work with.
She is a very positive, calm and accommodating person with a thorough professional work ethic who is proactive and efficient in delivering the best she has to offer!
I totally recommend working with her!

Interview with Sarah

  1. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  2. A: My promise is to be reliable, responsive, and eager to give your project the sound you've been dreaming of. If you're ever unhappy with my performance I promise to rework and revise until you are satisfied,

  3. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  4. A: My most common projects are performance - singing lead lines, backgrounds, and voice acting work.

  5. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  6. A: 10-track EP to be released in July, and various projects for friends. I attend approximately 6 recording sessions per week.

  7. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  8. A: I ask for reference tracks, inspirations, clarify track information, and discuss the general vibe that the client is looking for.

  9. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  10. A: Ask as many questions as you possibly can. Make sure that your provider cares about your project and will put everything they have into delivering a quality result for you. Do your homework and don't hesitate to take a chance on someone. As young professionals we don't mind consulting or providing small demos to ensure that you have made the right decision.

  11. Q: How would you describe your style?

  12. A: Inspired by Stevie Wonder, Tori Kelly, Earth Wind and Fire, Jacob Collier, all drawing from inspiration in baroque music and choral style singing.

  13. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  14. A: Always have a fresh set of ears when making decisions. Ask as many trusted people as you can find to listen to what you have to offer. If you want the general public to appreciate your music, ask them what they think of it. Try to get out of the bubble of your exceptionally talented and musically sophisticated network occasionally and always be willing to try new things.

  15. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  16. A: I would love to collaborate with Jojo and Jacob Collier. Jojo is an inspiration; her powerhouse vocals and her drive kept her going through an exceptionally tumultuous time in the industry. Jacob Collier is a brilliant multi-instrumentalist from whom I draw a lot of harmonic and creative inspiration.

  17. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  18. A: I've mostly recorded jazz-pop, funk, and classical music with both vocals and trumpet.

  19. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  20. A: My strongest skill is my ear and my love for reharmonizing music that needs a little more flavor. I'm quick to try new things and to experiment around the world of music that already exists.

  21. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  22. A: Fresh young vibes, a multicultural musical background, and the diverse experience to bring a new kind of ears to your music.
