John Dale aka Wild & Devious. I have been in the business for 15 years and have worked with top Artists Mixing and Remixing. I started out as a D.J and spent a lot of time in different studios learning the trade. I specialize in Pop , Dance , House Music.

Dalestudio is ideal for recording vocals and mixing / mastering . My mixes always transfer well as I have great monitoring conditions . The Services I offer are from the ground up , turning an idea into a finished track , help with production , arrangement , mixing , editing , remix's , D.J and vocal / Guitar recording and Mastering.     I have recently had a number of tracks mixed and mastered at Dale studio and i am very pleased with what has been produced. John can take a track to another level with his engineering and mastering skills and if needed he has the ability to provide a fast turn around. Along with the quality the rates are very reasonable compared to other studios.

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: A Dance version of a track written by Neil Taylor and the brief is for it to fit in Annie Macs playlist .

  4. A: Both if needed depending on what you are trying to acheive !

  5. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  6. A: That I will keep to there goal and they will have a finished product they will be happy to play to anyone !

  8. A: The creative process of hearing everything start coming together!

  9. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  10. A: Can you make my track sound like ..... And I will be honest about my answer and let them know how we can acheive there goal !

  12. A: That I work 9 till 5 ! That would be nice!

  14. A: What is your goal and how can I get you there and do you like Coffee or Tea !

  16. A: Be clear about what you want and the direction you are heading .

  17. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  18. A: A powerfull Apple Mac packed full of synths a UAD Apollo fully loaded an SSL Desk and a Neumann U87 mic .

  19. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  20. A: I started out Djing and running my own nights at various clubs and spending a lot of time writing and learning ,then working as a keyboard tech on live tours whilst building my own set up for producing my own music and have been doing this for the past 18 years.

  22. A: I will leave that up to the listener as it changes to suit the genre although I like a meaty sound!

  24. A: Calvin Harris as we come from a DJ ing background

  26. A: Make sure your kick is in the right key of your song .

  27. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  28. A: Pop and Dance , House Music .

  30. A: Mixing and production

  32. A: Focus , new ideas that will give a unique sound and Radio appeal , a good ear !

  33. Q: What's your typical work process?

  34. A: I typically would start with the groove first and build from there leaving production and fx until last .I like to get all the writing done and then work with the sounds to get them right (less is more approach).

  35. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  36. A: My Studio set up is all geared up around my Apple Mac and Uad plugins and the monitors and acoustic treatment .

  38. A: So many ! Musicians and Producers that push boundaries !

  40. A: Mixing , writing , arrangements , mastering and production .
