Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What their vision is for the song and artistry
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Tell me your goal, your story, where you'd like to be in 5 years, and your musical influences :)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: To be able to make a career in music, as well as help communities and people with my music; that would be amazing :)
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Indie-pop, but I also dabble in EDM, Hip-hop, Folk
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I would say my personality and songwriting background is. Over the past couple of years, I have learnt to deal and work with different types of music and artists, gaining an understanding of what works and what doesn't. I then cater my workflow specific to their music and persona.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: The emotion and its message. What else is there? :)
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Simply put, I serve the song. Once the idea of the song and its emotion is in place, everything else is easier! It goes like this: songwriting>pre-production>actual production>vocal recording>final production stage>mixing>mastering>the song goes out into the world :)
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Prince.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Yes, is the song the best it can be lyrically/melodically? Is it finished? If it is, it will make the whole process of producing it a lot easier, and in theory, make it a better end product.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mainly produce a track for them (indie-pop) remotely, and they send me their vocals stems, then take it from there :)
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Every type of music inspires me, whether that be a melody, sonic feature, a cool synth hook/pad, or lyrics. I'm a big fan of Dave Pensado and Graham Cochrane as music producers and how they are helping the community.
