Interview with LoopWaves

  1. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  2. A: They commonly ask what I think of their song, and I tell them the truth.

  3. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  4. A: Hopefully soon.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Digital. Because it's not the 90s.

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: I'm going to do my best to give what you ask for, and that I won't take a project that I don't think I can deliver on.

  9. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  10. A: I think the biggest misconception about what I do is that many people do not understand the process, and they don't realize the time, money, and focus it takes to make a genuinely exceptional song.

  11. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  12. A: I ask them what their goal is with the music, and what of my music made them reach out to me.

  13. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  14. A: Provide as much info as you can about what you're looking for, then get ready to trust the process.

  15. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  30. A: I work in All genres but mostly work on Electronic / Soundtrack music. House, Techno, Trance, Progressive House, Ambient, Chill, Hip Hop, Pop, etc.

  31. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  32. A: My strongest skill is my experience, my ears, and attention to detail.

  33. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  34. A: I bring more than 15 years of experience and knowledge of being a passionate musician to the project. I have been producing, remixing, mixing, and mastering every day for half of my life!

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: My work process begins with listening to the song or references several times and feeling the vibe. Then I make some specific notes of how I can help bring the song to the next level. I want to add my vibe and skill to the track while maintaining the original artist's vision. Mixing: After I receive files, I import everything into FL Studio, and I spend a lot of time to prepare the project, and then I do a quick mix. I try to improve the recorded sounds and make them sound better. Usually, after a few revisions, the mix is approved, and I send off the mix in whatever format required. Mastering: I generally listen to the song outside of the DAW and make sure it properly mixed. If there are no technical issues I start the mastering process and I usually finish it in a few days.

  37. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  38. A: I love working in the box. I have been an FL Studio user for more than 15 years, and I have a selection of exceptional plugins that do what I want them to do. Including Waves Audio, MeldaProduction, iZotope, Native Instruments, Softube, and many more.

  39. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  40. A: I'm primarily mixing and mastering engineer and music producer. Most of my work consists of composing electronic music and instrumental soundtrack. I also mix and master entirely produced/recorded tracks to a "Radio Ready" standard.
