Interview with Alex Polevoy

  1. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  2. A: Have good source tracks and perform well. I ain't fixing lame playing.

  3. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  4. A: Electricity generator, good audio interface, pair of monitors, pair of headphones and my PC.

  5. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  6. A: I wanna work as a freelancer, I don't have such preferences.

  7. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  8. A: Sure, but not for free

  9. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  10. A: Rock, metal, country, blues, sometimes rap.

  11. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  12. A: Anssi Kippo. He's goddamn good at mixing, though I don't like his way to tune and time-correct everything he works on. This often doesn't sound like a live recording.

  13. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  14. A: Mixing, mastering, arrangement suggestions.
