I am Creative Director at PURE Jingles and work in the productions of PURE Jingles as mixing and mastering engineer. My specialization lies in the mixing of electronic pop, pop-rock and pop-urban.
In my opinion a song or recording should sound like the vision of the creator / artist / composer and therefore mixing and mastering is just a tool to polish / clean up the production for all kinds of distribution.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it is boring to hear the same piece of music over and over again.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Choose for the service provider that gives you the best feeling and trust.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Awesome, big and fat is what I like to do the most.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Trust your ears and feeling. There are no rules, only some guidelines.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Whatever the song needs to have.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Does this really matter? It are the humans and not the gear that makes the music lifelike and personal. But I do have access to a good studio with PMC IB-1 reference monitors and hundreds of very professional plug-ins and tools on the computer.

A: Too many to recall. I like a lot of music.

A: Digital! I love recall!

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Started playing piano on my 11th after which I wanted to study in music. On my 18th I started studying Audio Design on the Utrecht School of Arts and after my study I started working at PURE Jingles.
