I'm Tim, and I run Full of Joy Studios in north Wales, United Kingdom. With many years of experience and a huge variety of projects, I am able to offer many diverse services at an extremely high quality, professional level.

I have been writing and recording material for over 10 years. Music recorded at my studio has been played on major radio and TV networks throughout the world, including BBC Radio One, BBC TV, Disney Channel and many more.

We are a team of three, which allows us to offer many different services:

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: Golden Fable - Ancient Blue album, which received extensive radio play all over the world and is published by BMG/ Chrysalis. Role: Songwriting, engineering, session work, production.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: The third album from Golden Fable, Youtube audio and videos for The Joys, and a new EP for Mechanical Owl.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Digital. Analogue recording can be absolutely brilliant, but digital is improving all the time and the recall facility is invaluable.

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: That every job is given the amount of time it deserves.

  10. A: Getting to work with so many talented musicians from all walks of life.

  17. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  18. A: I started playing guitar at 8 years old, and have been writing music since my early teens. After being in bands for a few years, I quickly wanted to record my own music. I've now owned a studio for over 10 years and have had music broadcast on TV and radio all over the world.

  19. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  20. A: Thom Yorke. I have huge respect for his writing and the way he has constantly adapted and pushed himself throughout his career.

  21. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  22. A: Think about what is best for the song, not what shows off musical or technical prowess.

  23. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  24. A: Folk, electronic, Americana, singer-songwriter, post-rock, instrumental, classical.

  25. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  26. A: Attention to detail and high quality results.

  28. A: An extremely strong work ethic with a strong eye for detail. I strive to make each song unique and full of character.

  30. A: 9-5 studio work, 6 days a week. Work includes: song-writing, arranging, mixing, tuning, session work, production, mastering, tracking, editing and more.
