Portrayt is a mixing & mastering engineer, producer, and musician who utilizes professional recording and editing software and meticulous attention to quality to bring out the best in recordings.

List of capabilities;

Recording, Solo Artist: Local area recording with artist, accompanied by 1-4 instruments (including vocals)
Mixing, Single Track: Bringing out the quality and details in a single track (mp3, wav, etc)
Mixing, Multi-Track: Enhancing multiple tracks to compliment eachother, correcting recording/playing errors, adding or removing instruments, etc
Mastering, Multi-Track: Ensuring clarity and quality of a song through each medium it plays
Producing: Guiding and providing direction and insight in regards to a track, song, or artist
Musician, Accompany: Composing and adding an original instrument track to enhance a song
Musician, Cover: Creating, imitating, or re-doing a track in the manner of another artist for the sake of a cover or song inspired by said artist

Interview with Portrayt

  1. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  2. A: An EV655C, a laptop and interface, a mic stand and chord, a Roland Lucina, and an inflatable boat to go back home.

  3. Q: What's your typical work process?

  4. A: Depending on the type of job, I begin with looking over and becoming familiar with the project, then break it down into smaller parts and analyze and work with each one. I work up from there, making sure each piece works well with each other piece, and continue to work until the full project is once again whole.

  6. A: Alan Parsons, Thomas Dolby, Jeff Lynne, among many others.

  7. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  8. A: In-depth Mixing & Mastering, as well as some production direction.

Terms Of Service

Each service will require two weeks of service, wherein the engineer/producer will consult the artist a minimum of three times for the artist to review and comment on the product.
