I have been writing, producing, mixing and mastering music for film, TV and ads since 2008. I have written hundreds of songs and had thousands of placements. Some highlights include co-writing music for the Coca-Cola Olympic commercial featuring female boxer, Marlen Esparza. And writing the theme song for the short documentary "Mountain Man", winner of the Yosemite International Film Festival Silver Sierra Award. I graduated from the SAE Institute of Technology in Nashville, TN where I studied audio engineering. I currently teach Composition & Songwriting at The Dark Horse Institute in Franklin, TN.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: The Tim O'Connell album "It's My Song Dammit!". I was the engineer and producer. We recorded the drums, rhythm guitar and bass live on a Neve 88R console. It sounded great!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Music for films, advertising, reality TV and several independent artist projects.

A: Can you make my music sound awesome? Yes!

A: Computers can make any audio sound great

A: What is your goal (TV / film licensing, radio airplay, etc)? What commercial artists or music references would you like to emulate?

A: Work with a commercial reference
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Computer (with Logic X installed), Audio Interface (UAD preferable), Mic & Cables (SM57), Guitar (Stratocaster) and Amp + Pedals & Cables (68' Fender Pro Reverb)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Music & English Literature major in college. Started in music business in 2004, had a few "days jobs" along the way and went full time music in 2008 after joining Hummingbird Productions.

A: "The Maverick" - go where others haven't gone before, push the envelope, turn some heads and have fun
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Will Champlin, bc/ I have worked with him in the past and he's awesome! A great guy, super funny and tons of talent!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Top secret! haha, just joking again. Depends on the genre, but focus on getting a great low end sound from the beginning and the mixing / mastering will be a lot smoother.

A: All types! Rock, Electronic, EDM, Indie Synth Pop, Trap, Hip Hop, Rap

A: Mastering & Delivering a final product

A: 10 years of experience writing, recording, mixing and mastering music for films, TV, radio and advertising purposes. Also a fresh set of ears!

A: Top Secret! haha, not really. Just approach each project as a unique opportunity. Always focus on communication with the client and the desired goal. I always work off commercial references to achieve highest level of success.
