  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: i'm proud of the record CIUDAD DE LUZ of GENERASION i've recorded drums, acoustic guitars, some vocals, all editing, vocal tuning, and mixing. i was also a little into the production. i really like what they did, the what they wrote the songs and the energy in the songs and the good interpretation of the band made it easy to digest and work, and it was nominated to the latin grammy awards.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Mixing and recording vocals of Jesus Worship Center record.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Agustin Espina.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Both. the both have their beauty, but it's more fun working in analog.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: i promise to do my best in reaching your expectations and make the best of your protect adding as much power and energy as i can. i'll be patient and hear what you have to say, i'll be flexible.

  12. A: it's fun but also the creativity that involves it. being able to touch lives through my work.

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: ok, so you are a DJ!

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: what do you need? how can i help you?

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: do a research, don't go for the more expensive or the guy with more gear or more awards, look for what your intuition dictates, find that one that can connect with you and make your protect shine the way you want!

  19. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  20. A: i think i wouldn't take any audio gear... but i get the question.

  21. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  22. A: I've been mixing live for more than 15 years and in studio for about 10

  23. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  24. A: less is more. be aware of details and always tray to see what others don't.

  25. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  26. A: Praise and worship, gospel music, rock, pop. but i've done almost everything.

  27. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  28. A: I think it's patience.

  29. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  30. A: I usually try to feel the vibe on a song, see where it takes me, listen to it a couple of times and try to understand what is telling me or what i feel listening to it, then i go for it, after that i try to ad as much energy as i can in that direction.

  32. A: I Use Pro Tools and Digital performer with MOTU hardware 128 ins and outs on a 8 core 3.0 intel xeon 32RAM Mac Pro. 6 dbx 163 original compressors. 1dbx 160x 1dbx 166 1 ashly cl52e 1 orban 424a compressor 1 orban 622b parametric eq 1 FMR RNP Sony/MCI MXP 3036 console Waves plugins.

  33. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  34. A: Chris Lord Alge. is the guy i follow as mixer.

  35. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  36. A: What i usually do and what people look for me is to mix live FOH shows, 2000+ people, and mix their records, also recording or editing drums and vocals.
