Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will do my best!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Combination of Art and Science, communication with interesting people, listening to the great music every day and helping musicians.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: "What gear do you use? How much does it cost?" and other questions related to the gear. There's a lot of hardware and software out there, I'm only as good as my knowledge and experience, having an expensive piece of gear does not guarantee a perfect mix, nothing does! I will do my best and I will use what's in my disposal to make sure your mix sound great.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I can't "save" bad recordings. My work is to make a good record sound even better.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I am just another set of ears with experience that will help your mix.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started to write songs in 2006 but it wasn't enaugh for me. I wanted to work with the sound, that's why I started mixing in 2008. Studying is a life long process, with every song I mix I became more and more confident. Now I can see how far I went with what I do, still I have a lot to learn, but my passion to music is what makes me wake up every morning and do my job.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I did a lot of songs, many of them were pop, other big chunk of songs were pop-rock, I also like to work on chillout music (and related) and it's the third biggest portion of songs I worked on.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Hardwork and Will
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: First of all another set of ears! I help emphasize good qualities and abate not so good qualities of the song.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I listen, take notes and start doing what I need to do. Gain staging, paning, EQ, compression and other creative effects to make the song sound better
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My heroes are Mark "Spike" Stent, Tony Maserati, Dave Pensado, Graham Cochrane and many others
