  12. A: The creative process and the trust my clients put in me to deliver a great product

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: How long does it take to mix a song? I tell them it depends, every song is different. If you want done right then it will take a little time. If you want a rush job then that can be done as well.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: Most people don't know that I am a drummer and can sing. I don't promote it because that's not my angle. When they see and hear me they are in disbelief saying that I don't look like I can do any of that stuff.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: It really depends on the situation, for example...If you want me to mix a song I ask them to tell me exactly what they want so we have no miscommunications.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Do as much research as possible and ask as many questions as you can.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: 1. Drum Pad/Sticks 2. C|24 console 3. Computer w/Pro Tools and Plugins 4. Rode NTK mic w/XLR 5. SSL AWS 948

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: My career path has always been gear toward live sound. I've been doing audio for almost 10 years. I didn't get absolutely serious until a 3 years ago.

  25. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  26. A: A project that made me proud was one I did while attending school. It wasn't intended to be taken that serious. I figured I had the means to record in school so I did. After Recording and Mixing it...I was so happy at the final product I had no choice but to spread the song so others can hear it too.

  27. Q: How would you describe your style?

  28. A: I think my style is more along the creative lines. As a free thinker I let my thoughts flow and I come up with different ways to enhance any song.

  29. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  30. A: I like working with just about anyone who takes this seriously. Reason is...they aren't afraid of the status quo. They are passionate about the work and it makes me happy that they want me to be apart of that.

  31. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  32. A: Yes, listen to the artist, try to become apart of the overall project. Meaning get involved to a point that the song feels personal, that way your mix doesn't feel like another job you're getting paid for. It feels more like an accomplishment that you and the artist has reached together.

  33. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  34. A: R&B and Hip Hop

  35. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  36. A: My ability to listen

  37. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  38. A: I'd like to think I bring a certain level a surprise and creativity to a song. Hearing an artist say to me that their song sounds better then they thought it would is an awesome feeling.

  39. Q: What's your typical work process?

  40. A: I normally start the edit process first, most artist nowadays record themselves and have no idea how to edit or what editing requires. After that, I listen to the song a few times to get an idea of how i want to mix it.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I think everyone inspires everyone to a degree. I don't typically give any one person credit for inspiration. The fact that anyone is willing to help another reach their fullest potential is enough inspiration in itself.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I typically get more Hip Hop and R&B, but I'm open to any genre.
