  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: Remixing some older songs that i had done when I was younger

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: Both, I usually record in Analog and mix in digital. Its all about preference and genre.

  5. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  6. A: I will do my best to give you exactly what you want.

  7. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  8. A: Meeting people and Networking.

  9. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  10. A: Where are you able to record? Everywhere I'm not afraid to learn a new studio

  11. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  12. A: People sometimes think that I'm a DJ.. Then I usually walk away

  13. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  14. A: Where do you see this project going? What was your musical influences for this project?

  15. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  16. A: Make sure that the person engineering your songs will give you quality work.

  17. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  18. A: AEA R88, Computer, my two Speakers (JBL LSR 308) and a Appogee Symphony

  19. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  20. A: I am a recent college graduate, but i have been working with audio for about 15 years now.

  21. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  22. A: I recently worked with a singer/songwriter that gave me complete artistic free reign. I recorded him in one of the larger studios in Nashville, Recorded a full band, several different overdubbed instruments, including a full string section.

  23. Q: How would you describe your style?

  24. A: Laid back, but efficient.

  25. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  26. A: I would like to work with anyone. But if we are going into specifics. I want to work with an artist that has a firm vision of what they want to achieve and also has a sense of humor

  27. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  28. A: Compression is like a good red italian sauce. Its great when you put it on all the right things.. But you shouldn't put it on everything (aka ice cream).

  29. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  30. A: I typically work with Singer/Songwriters, Contemporary Christian Music, and Country

  31. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  32. A: I am a very good communicator. Which helps me in a tracking environment. It allows me to get my message across in a short period of time. Getting more bang for the artists buck.

  33. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  34. A: I bring a fresh new set of ears to an industry where everything sounds the same. I like to use older techniques to create new sounds (like actually recording musicians and not programming them)

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: If I am working with the client from Tracking to final product, I will be involved in the preproduction of each song, help organize the musicians, organize a studio and studio time. Then I will edit the songs myself. Let them sit for a day or so ( so that I don't miss anything in the mix) then start mixing.

  37. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  38. A: I have a modest amount of gear because I have invested the majority of my money into Plugins and good speakers

  39. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  40. A: I'm really inspired by all of the talented Audio Engineers in Nashville

  41. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  42. A: I usually Track, Overdub, Edit, and Mix.
