morrow

alternative producer/performer

morrow on SoundBetter

sup, i've been doing music for 10 years. i'm on all streaming platforms under the name "morrow" & my debut album "violet entries" is out everywhere. all produced & performed by me. i've always sang, but i started performing at the age of of 12. by age 13, i taught myself how to play piano, by 15, it was guitar/bass & at 16, it was producing.

what's up. i'm morrow. i create all kinds of music. my genre, i'd generally say is "alternative", but i have a vast sound that helps me adapt to other genres as well, including lo-fi, hip hop, rock, electronic, etc. i put as much time into my work as i can & the finished product, i try to have done asap, but it does depend on the piece. i analyze as much as i can (automation, eq, engineering, etc.) . i make sure each project has it's own flair as well as a spacious, atmospheric sound, but when it calls for it, i can make music that's more intense & aggressive, or even somewhere in between. i also offer in-person studio time where we can lay vocals down on either instrumentation you already have or instrumentation i can help make from scratch. honestly, i just have too much fun doing what i do. doesn't feel like much of a job (at least not yet lol) i'm self taught in all that i do & i'm still learning. let's work ! let's learn together !! -m

Interview with morrow

  1. Q: What's your typical work process?

  2. A: i'm open to anything, so whatever ideas you have as far as production goes, i'm all ears. i can either find a beat of mine pre-made or i can just make one on the spot with the details i acquire. whatever your focus is on, in the production, is the one i'll prioritize the most & if we run out of time, i'll continue working on it in my own time while also sending short video clips of the piece's progress.

  3. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  4. A: my current studio is a combined studio with my music equipment & my girlfriend's art equipment. we have a futon with built in charger ports, i got 3 guitars on the wall, a keyboard off to the side & my desk with all the techy stuff & the mic stand with a filter. we got cool lights too lol

  5. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  6. A: lately, the alchemist as far as production goes, but twenty one pilots sort of sparked my creativity.

  7. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  8. A: so far, hip hop & rnb has been the genre of choice, though my first ever collab was technically with my grandma, but that was a little more of a soft alternative rock kind of song.
