Mauro is a cellis of the cameristic group Alustrio, and First cello Soloist with the Municipal Symphony Orchestra of SP. He was a member of the Jazz Symphonic Orchestra of SP, the Camera Orchestra Soloists of Brazil, first cello of the Sao Paulo Chamber Orchestra, Experimental Repertory Orchestra and first cellist of the Amazonas Philharmonic too.

He has released CD recordings with the Alustrio of trios number 1 and 2 of Heitor Villa-Lobos through the mark "Classicos"; recorded a CD of the Sonata no.1 and the Elegie by Henrique Oswald with the great pianist Fernando Lopez; and released a double CD and DVD box containing the Concerto, a documentary and the edition of the complete sheetmusic of the four trios of the Brazilian composer Glauco Velasques. He has recently digitally launched in virtual platforms the albums Britten/Kodaly Solo Cello, and Cirandinhas by Heitos Villa-Lobos, in his adaptation for cello trio.
As accompanying musician, he has participated in the CD recordings of the brazilian bands of the singers Leandro and Leonardo, Chitaozinho and Chororo, Daniel, Eliana, Pedro Mariano, Zeze de Camargo and Luciano, Exalta Samba (CD and DVD), and CDs of the Jazz Symphonic Orchestra with the singer Milton Nascimento.
Interpreting solos for his instrument, Mauro recorded soundtracks for the mini TV series of the Rede Globo television station, "Brado Retumbante" and "Sereia", also recorded for the TV soap operas "Cordel Encantado" and "Avenida Brasil", and mini TV series and films soundtrackes of the Netflex. As invited musician participated in solo recordings for the advertising soundtracks of the companies Parmalat, Net TV, Caixa Economica Federal Bank.
