Interview with Ainna Antiporda
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Coldplay because of how they are able to create, not just a song, but a musical experience with every release.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Make sure you're keeping things interesting throughout the song and give listeners a great pay off for sticking around.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on pop indie, pop ballad, pop rock, RnB, and electronic music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill, apart from having unique vocals, is my listening. I am very particular with the sounds I listen to and I meticulously pinpoint things in a track that sound off. I am very strict with the quality of tracks that I produce and so I can guarantee clients with work that has been done excellently.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: As a topliner, I bring singable melodies that are perfect for pop songs so that listeners can easily grasp the melody and sing along to the song. I provide catchy tunes and phrases that end up as a welcome earworm for listeners. The lyrics are also well crafted to be both memorable and meaningful. As a vocalist, I bring a unique soprano timbre to the song. I also add colorful harmonies with the option of more interesting chords or simple ones if the client prefers that.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: For toplining services, the client sends over a track and a brief of the kind of song they're looking for and I am able to turn one over in about 2-3 days depending on the demands of the project. As for vocal recordings, the client sends over an mp3 of the track they need vocals for and a brief describing the desired delivery. Then, I record the vocals and send the recording in about 2-3 days depending on the difficulty of the project or the number of tracks needed.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work using Logic Pro and we have a professional studio setup. We have top-of-the-line equipment for high quality sound recordings.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My mentor is Jimmy Antiporda who is one of the top music producers in the country. For vocal harmonies and vocal recordings, I look up to the works of Billie Eilish and Finneas O'Connell. As for other musicians, I'm inspired by Coldplay, Bruno Mars, and K-pop Producers.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I offer toplining services as well as vocal performances such as voiceovers, commercial jingle singing, demo vocals, backup vocals, and harmonies
