  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: My personal EP and a bunch of songs with clients.

  3. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  4. A: Ted Skolits for anything country, that's my genre as an artist and he mixes all my stuff!

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Hybrid, I like the analog grit while the flexibilty of digital.

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: We will get your song write... See what I did there. We will work on your song until it sounds the same in your speakers and in your head.

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: The freedom to work from home for sure.

  11. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  12. A: Prices of course, but also what kind of takes they should do. Also what I think of their music from the point of view of an engineer.

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: That it's the gear that's important. It's not, you can get great sounding songs with limited gear if you know what you're doing.

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: What are some of their influences. What are they looking to achive with their song. What is the feeling they're trying to bring across in their song.

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: Go with the person who you feel understands you the best.

  19. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  21. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  22. A: Ten years, I started just mixing for myself as I didn't have the money to hire anyone and then decided to go to college to study music engineering. Have since then had a bunch of clients and made some awesome songs.

  23. Q: How would you describe your style?

  24. A: Laid back but switched on, I figure out where I need to go with a song pretty early on.

  25. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  26. A: I'd love to work with Kane Brown as a songwriter and The Kid Laroi when it comes to mixing.

  27. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  28. A: Dont mix with numbers, mix with feeling.

  29. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  30. A: Mainly Pop or Hip Hop, those are my comfort genres for sure.

  31. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  32. A: I believe songwriting is my strongest skill, with mixing not far behind.

  33. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  34. A: A unique vision and ability to look at a song from an artists point of view.

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: I tend to listen to the song a few times and try to develop a vision that also runs alongside the artists instructions. I will then get to work on the most important element in the mix.

  37. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  38. A: I'm running cubase on a windows 10 desktop, using mostly Waves, Fab Filter and Soundtoys plugins.

  39. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  40. A: Many engineers inspire me and many artists do to, all for different reasons.

  41. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  42. A: I usually mix song they've either purchased or produced themselves.
