Tyler Jordan Soucy on SoundBetter

Drummer, producer, engineer in the indie-rock band A Great Big Pile of Leaves. I've been playing for 25 years and have my own home-studio. I endorse Vater, SJC Drums, and BFSD, and have played on 200+ recordings. I've worked with producers Ed Ackerson (The Replacements), Jesse Cannon (Animal Collective), Jesse Gander (Japandroids) and more.

My approach to drum & percussion composition is to always serve the songwriting first - the right rhythms and dynamics can transform the energy of a track.

*Remote drum session pricing includes 2 rounds of notes per song.

I’ve had Tyler record drums on my music several times over the last 6 years - both going out to a studio for sessions or having him record drums at his own studio - and at this point I feel incredibly spoiled. It’s difficult to imagine anyone else conveying the the feel of the songs so effectively. It’s been awesome to have songs brought to life by Tyler’s drumming... and it’s usually the first thing people notice and comment on (how good the drums sound), which... is humbling.

    Tyler’s a ridiculous drummer - I can’t recommend him enough.
