  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  2. A: both.

  5. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  6. A: 29 years from a DJ to a producer and artist.

  7. Q: How would you describe your style?

  8. A: eclectic

  9. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  10. A: train your ears, compare and listen to your work on different speakers in different settings

  11. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  12. A: dance, pop, trip hop, world

  13. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  14. A: beats, sounds and styles!

  15. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  16. A: loads of synths, especially the classics like tr808 for hip hop beats, tb303, and Jupiter and moogs, and korgs for all sorts of arpeggios and pads and beautiful sounds. Just added Nils Frahms amazing felt piano synth which is awesome. I use a lot of soft synths, and have built up a huge library so i can work light out of laptop if need be too.

  17. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  18. A: I often work to come up with the right beats and background musical styling for a singer/rapper. Then mostly to coordinate a project and get a track down. From quick ideas and beats, experimenting with sounds and styles and getting the vocals sitting right, to finishing off the mix.
