Interview with Audiostein
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work in all genres, but mostly on Hip-hop, Trap, R&B, Pop, Urban, Rock, Electronic, Indie, Singer-songwriter, and Lo-Fi music. I've also worked on Funk, Blues, and Jazz.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise is that they will be truly happy with the final product. I offer unlimited revisions and I will work on the project till they love it!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring passion and a desire to put in my best efforts to every project that I encounter as if it were my own. I will also bring a sound that's true to the artist's vision.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I will identify the artist's objective for the project, analyze provided materials and any relevant content, set deadlines and goals in a way that helps me stay on track, and keep a constant communication pipeline. These projects are a collaborative effort and I'm always committed in achieving the artist's vision.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I believe it is important for the artist to have a clear vision for the project. If the artist feels like they have hit a road block or have taken it as far as they can, I'll be here to help take the project to the next level. Collaboration in music is important and I'm here to work together as a team!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: It depends on the type of work. In general, I would ask for references and which artists/songs they enjoy listening to.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Definitely a combination of both. Digital for workflow and techniques of modern production. Analog for character and color.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: There are numerous artists I would love to work with but if I had to choose 1, it would probably be Avenged Sevenfold. They have been my favorite musical artist since middle school.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: I like to work in a way that helps me get my ideas down as efficiently as possible to maintain the flow of ideas. One way I do this is by committing to my decisions on the spot and not dwelling on one idea.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I love video game and film soundtracks. I really appreciate how the soundscape and music can transport you to another dimension.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common type of services I provide are (but not limited to) Mixing, Mastering, Production, and Sound Design.
