Interview with Etto

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I'm really patient and serious. I will dedicate all my time and skills in order to make you satisfied.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I had a contract with a famous label in Italy. One of their artists made a song that I really love. I decided to make a remix and I made a club version that everyones love. It's really catchy. The track is called "Klingande - Pumped Up (Etto Remix)", you can find it everywhere so listen to it and let me know :)
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Sharing all my music ideas. They are the expression of who you really are.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Always have clear ideas. My work cost and I don't want you to waste your money for something completely different from your initial idea.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: The first five things that can make different sounds from each ones. My fantasy will do the rest.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started as a DJ when I was 9 playing at my parents parties. When I was 14 a friend of mine showed me Fl Studio and I fallen in love with production. I kept producing on my own till I was 20, then I moved to Milan to be a student of the SAE Institute in which I studied all the theory about music production and sound design. I'm 25 and I still love make music. This is the only thing that will never change, pretty sure!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: When I'm not in the mood I always go out for a walk. I always come back with thousands of fresh ideas.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When I start a song I always try to find some chords progression that I like most at that moment. Then I play some random melodies till I hear something good. I start to "sing" a possible main lead melody and the rest will be easy at that point. It's like a puzzle. More pieces you fits, easiest the way to complete it.
