Khadejhia is the epitome of professionalism. I hired her to track a bass line for my original song. She listened to my vision and executed it beautifully. Definitely going to work with her again!

Khadejhia is an absolute wonderful person and musician. I'm so happy with the bass parts she did on my and Jules' and the Howl's single, "Rule Your Mind." She added a lot of dynamics and right in the pocket. Having known her in the music industry, she is consistently solid and will make your music better. I highly recommend her too!

Hired Khadejhia to write and record an original bassline for a song by my band. She nailed it! First take was great but then I gave her some notes and she did a second take that was even better! Really knocked it out of the park. We'd hire her again in a heartbeat!

Interview with Khadejhia

  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  2. A: Both!

  3. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  4. A: I promise to be easy to work with, reliable, and punctual.

  5. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  6. A: I love getting positive feedback from the people I record for, and I love listening to how they incorporated my parts into the final song!

  7. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  8. A: What is your vision for the song overall?

  9. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  10. A: I graduated from Musician's Institute in 2016 and have been working as a guitarist and bassist (usually in live settings) in LA since then. When the pandemic hit, I knew I needed to pivot to remote work, so I learned everything I could about recording from home. I've recorded for a bunch of different projects now, and love getting to work with people from across the globe!

  11. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  12. A: Joan Jett! I find her super inspiring as a female guitarist and she just seems like a really cool person in general.

  13. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  14. A: It really helps me to go through and visually mark the sections of the song before I start recording. Then I can see how many choruses there are gonna be, where the breakdown comes in, how much of an outro there is, etc.

  15. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  16. A: Rock and pop mostly, but I also love working on R&B, rap, and funk.

  17. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  18. A: I've been told by many people that I'm a very melodic player.

  19. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  20. A: I think I'm good at giving the song what it needs. I'm happy to play two notes the whole time if that's what fits!

  21. Q: What's your typical work process?

  22. A: I listen to the song and add markers to outline the sections. Then, without a guitar, I replay sections over and over again, singing the guitar parts and bass lines I hear complementing the song in my head. After that I bring the guitar in, write the parts, and record!

  23. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  24. A: Joey Santiago, Nick Zinner, Melanie Faye, Cory Wong, Tom Misch, Joe Dart

  25. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  26. A: I usually get a written song that I need to write and record guitars for.
