Interview with Lake Effect Studio

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: well, my own music, I do the majority of songwriting, arranging, recording, mixing and mastering for my band. I'm my own toughest critic.

  3. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  4. A: Big fan of Joe Barresi, Ken Andrews can do NO wrong, Jeff Martin and all The Tea Party stuff. Love everything from Black Metal to OLD country. I like DIY!!! Guys who make their own records top to bottom are my favorite. Shoegaze makes me happy and if you follow trends you're walking the wrong path.

  6. A: A few rock projects and some great singer-songwroter stuff as well as always writing and recording my own band.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital. Because it's too good now, much easier and buget friendly. That being said if I could track to Tape and Mix in the Box that would be the bees' knees.
