Fabio Tucci on SoundBetter

I've been playing professionally for the last 15 years. I've traveled the world with my drumming and I played with people from almost every corner in the world. I developed experience in so many styles of music, played in theatre pit, productions shows, instrumentalist, songwriters, jugglers comedians etc..

I'm Fabio and I've been playing professionally for the last 15 years.
After I've finished my music studies in Rome I've traveled the world with my drumming and I got to meet and play with people from almost every corner in the world, playing for almost 10 years on cruise ships I have learned a lot, especially to have huge respect for any kind of music.
I like to play as simple and effective as I possibly can. My motto is always playing for the music, solid groove and pocket, but always with personality. I'd love to put and use all my experience and creativity to give you the best beat for your music.

I love to do studio sessions, so I put it together a small home studio recording down in my basement, so I can give you a great quality drum track for your request.

Just tell me what you need how you like it and I'll be happy to play for you.
I can give you high quality multitrack recording up to 16 channels.

I have multiple drums set configuration, from jazz to rock.

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: I listen to the song I will record drums on, talk with the client to get as much infos and direction about the sound and types of drumming he's looking for, I'll than make a drum chart and take notes of all indication received. Once I've clear in mind how to proceed I'll choose the right kit ( cymbals snare electronics eventually ) chose the right mics and place them around the kit and room, and I will record few takes to deliver to the client and if any revisions are requested I'll make those.

  37. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  38. A: I'm always inspired by the greats sounding drummers and producers, I am fascinated by the simplicity and authenticity of a musician who play at service of the song. Steve gadd on top of all is my main ispiration, but I admire any musician who tells you somethinhg with his playng. Steve Jordan, Jeff Porcaro, Carlos Vega, Bernard Purdie, Keith Carlock, and many others

  39. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  40. A: I will try to have a short conversation with the client to know his needs, to let him tell me about his project and his music, in order to better connect to his needs and deliver them the best possible product. I will record several takes of drums with or without click, mix and deliver to the client. I can make changes according to the client needs and reach the perfect drum track for the client project. I usually offer a rought mix in order to leave to the client the choise and freedom to mix the track at his own taste and needs. I can also mix the drum track on request.
